I look forward to the day we don’t need *a day*.

In Honour of International Women’s Day.

To truly achieve gender parity, address discrimination, end violence, and ensure equal access to opportunities, we must hold the men in our lives accountable. Change begins with the everyday choices we make.

It’s about choosing to talk to the men around you—your brothers, fathers, uncles, friends, and partners—about issues that matter to women. It's about not tolerating the "boys will be boys" rhetoric that perpetuates harmful behaviours.

It's also about challenging the women in our lives who, often unknowingly, reinforce their own subservience to a system that keeps them trapped. We must help each other break free from the internalized misogyny that holds us back.

Ultimately, it's about using our voices—both men and women—to speak out against misogyny and injustice. It’s about acting in alignment with feminist values, and it starts with the willingness to check our own biases and learn from the perspectives we may not fully understand.

Because true equality doesn’t just benefit women; it benefits all of us. The work begins with us. It starts with the choices we make every day.

And today, you are called to make a choice: choose to see your worth—the worth that society has long tried to dim and overshadow. It helps to recognize how far we’ve come, thanks to the women who have paved the way before us. Their strength, resilience, and courage have laid the foundation for our progress. As we honour their legacy, we empower ourselves to stand in our own worth and continue the fight for equality, breaking through the barriers that once held us back.
